ABOUT ME
Originally from Mazatlán, Mexico and raised in Washington State, I’ve always seen the world through a unique lens, shaped by two cultures and two rhythms of life. That duality taught me to adapt, to observe closely, and to find creativity in the spaces between. I was drawn to footwear design because of my flat feet, constantly searching for shoes that not only performed well but looked sick. That obsession sparked a deeper curiosity, leading me to earn a Bachelor’s in Industrial Design from the University of Washington and continue my education at PENSOLE Footwear Design Academy with New Balance.
My approach to footwear is hands-on and rooted in craft. I love sketching, sewing, and prototyping by hand because I believe the best ideas come from building and testing in the physical world, not just designing on a screen. Inspired by music, the ocean, and the feeling of movement, I aim to create shoes that become someone’s all-time favorite—the pair they live life in, make memories with, and never want to throw away. To me, footwear is forever. It’s a tool, a statement, and sometimes even a time capsule. I design with intention, creating products that are emotionally resonant, push the boundaries of technology, and are built to thrive in real life. |
